Welcome To Kay’s Design Hive,

Hi, my name is Kay, I am a South African mixed media artist living in the US. I am also a 2023 Graphic Designer graduate of California State University East Bay. I enjoy working on big projects and doing things that haven’t been done before or something that people are surprised by. I have found that creating unique art and designs for products, media, marketing, and more, tends to draw in people who may not have had an interest in the creative industry or not realize how much of an impact it can make, which then grows my target audience.

Graphic Design gives me the chance to create something for my clients that I put a lot of work into so that the customer feels that they got what they wanted and more. I am very detail orientated and I put a lot of thought behind what I create, while also keeping design principles in mind. If my client isn’t happy then neither am I until we reach the desired result.

In my job as a designer, I have found that I am a natural leader and take responsibility for projects and find it important to create an environment that includes everyone and make it a comfortable space for everyone to jump in with their ideas so we can brainstorm together and also feel comfortable giving constructive criticism knowing that we all want to reach the same outcome and have goals that we need to meet.
